This project is to add on to an existing garage, adding more length with the same width. Planning went to version 3 where standard stick framing is used including a storage area above the ceiling joists.

Demolition: remove back wall and curb; remove roofing; dig.

After adding almost 7 cu. yds of road base to flatten out the slope, the forms can start.

Forms: the yard sloped major downhill at the back requiring more form and concrete to level up the garage slab.

Pour footings: pumped in 3ooo psi with half large aggregate and half small.

Pour slab: More of the same mix a few days later. Note site-built bridge to smooth out the concrete without having to stand or kneel on it.

Site built bridge let us finish the slab.

Framing started. A few places to repair and replace due to termite feasting.

Framing done. Ready for inspection and on to roofing.
